Job summary

Cardinal Health, in a national field role, seeks a Revenue Cycle Associate to support claims submission, denial appeals, and billing processing. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely follow-up, and collaboration with clinical and administrative teams.

The position is full-time with remote hours Monday–Friday 8:30–5:00 EST, or based on business needs, and offers comprehensive benefits and pay in line with experience. Training and support are provided to ensure efficiency.

Qualifications

• HS, GED or bachelor’s degree in business-related field preferred
• 2+ years’ experience within Revenue Cycle Management preferred
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding
• Competent with computer systems, software and 10 key calculators
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Prior EdgePark and/or Cardinal Health at Home Customer Operations preferred

Responsibilities

• Submitting medical documentation/billing data to insurance providers
• Researching and appealing denied and rejected claims
• Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software including electronic and paper claim processing
• Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle time frame
• Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payment if necessary
• Reviewing insurance payments for accuracy and completeness
