Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a remote Revenue Cycle Associate to support submitting medical documentation and billing data, researching denied claims, and transmitting claims to insurers. This full-time role requires 2+ years in Revenue Cycle Management, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently within a team.

Qualifications

• HS, GED, or bachelor’s degree in business-related field preferred; equivalent experience acceptable.
• 2+ years of Revenue Cycle Management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Prior EdgePark and/or Cardinal Health at Home Customer Operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Submitting medical documentation/billing data to insurance providers.
• Researching and appealing denied and rejected claims.
• Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software including electronic and paper claim processing.
• Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle time frame.
• Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payment if necessary.
• Reviewing insurance payments for accuracy and completeness.
