Cardinal Health in Providence, RI is seeking a Revenue Cycle Associate for full-time work with remote hours Monday–Friday 8:30–5:00 EST. This role focuses on submitting billing data, researching denials, and transmitting claims while ensuring payments are accurate and timely.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in Revenue Cycle Management, strong Excel skills, ICD-10 familiarity, and the ability to work independently within a team. Card/HEALTH benefits and competitive hourly pay provided.

Qualifications

• HS/GED or bachelor’s degree in business-related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years’ experience in Revenue Cycle Management preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding.
• Competent with computer systems, software and 10 key calculators.
• Knowledge of medical terminology; prior EdgePark/ Cardinal Health at Home Customer Operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Submitting medical documentation/billing data to insurance providers.
• Researching and appealing denied and rejected claims.
• Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software including electronic and paper claim processing.
• Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle time frame.
• Calling insurance companies regarding discrepancies in payment when needed.
• Reviewing insurance payments for accuracy and completeness.
