Job summary

Cardinal Health seeks a Full-time Revenue Cycle Specialist to support its US operations. The role focuses on submitting documentation, appealing denied claims, transmitting claims, and following up on unpaid claims within standard cycles.

Strong Excel skills and ICD-10 familiarity are preferred, with a professional able to work independently in a team setting. The position offers remote hours Monday–Friday 8:30–5:00 EST or based on business needs, with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive

Qualifications

• HS, GED, bachelor’s degree in business related field preferred, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience within Revenue Cycle Management preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within team environment.
• Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding.
• Competent with computer systems, software and 10 key calculators.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Prior EdgePark and/or Cardinal Health at Home Customer Operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Submitting medical documentation/billing data to insurance providers.
• Researching and appealing denied and rejected claims.
• Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software including electronic and paper claim processing.
• Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle time frame.
• Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payment if necessary.
• Reviewing insurance payments for accuracy and completeness.
