Job summary

INNERGY is seeking a Revenue Accounting Manager to own and scale revenue accounting as the business grows, focusing on revenue recognition, contract accounting, month-end close, and ASC 606 compliance. Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Legal, and Customer teams to ensure accurate, scalable revenue processes and strong internal controls, while supporting audits and ensuring the organization is audit-ready.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with meaningful revenue accounting.
• CPA or public accounting experience.
• Experience in a SaaS or recurring-revenue business.
• Strong ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP knowledge.
• Experience reviewing SaaS or software contracts.
• Experience managing revenue through month-end close.
• Strong Excel and financial systems skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end revenue recognition process in accordance with ASC 606 and GAAP.
• Review customer contracts and determine accounting treatment for software, subscriptions, and services.
• Manage revenue-related month-end and quarter-end close, journal entries, and deferred revenue.
• Maintain revenue reporting and investigate variances.
• Collaborate with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Customer teams on contracts and pricing.
• Develop and maintain accounting memos and documentation.
• Support forecasting and reporting of revenue trends and drivers.
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve revenue processes and controls.
• Support annual audits with revenue recognition documentation.
• Ensure revenue processes are audit-ready and strengthen internal controls.
• Serve as internal SME on revenue accounting and ASC 606.
