Job summary

INNERGY is hiring a Revenue Accounting Manager to own revenue recognition, contract accounting, and the monthly close in a remote role open to U.S. candidates.

You will work closely with Finance, Sales, Legal, and Customer teams to ensure scalable, accurate revenue processes that support a fast-growing SaaS business. The ideal candidate has substantial revenue accounting experience, CPA preferred, with comfort handling multi-element arrangements and ERP/billing systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with revenue accounting.
• CPA or public accounting experience.
• Experience reviewing SaaS, software, or other complex contracts.
• Experience managing revenue through month-end and quarter-end close.
• Strong Excel and financial systems skills.
• Experience with ERP, billing, CRM, and revenue automation systems.
• Experience supporting scaling or PE-backed organizations.
• Familiarity with multi-element arrangements, professional services, implementation fees, contract modifications, and variable consideration.

Responsibilities

• Review customer contracts and determine appropriate revenue accounting treatment.
• Manage month-end and quarter-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Partner with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Customer teams on non-standard contracts and pricing.
• Develop technical accounting documentation and revenue memos.
• Support forecasting and reporting with revenue trends and drivers.
• Identify opportunities to automate revenue processes and strengthen controls.
• Support annual audits with revenue recognition documentation.
• Serve as internal expert on ASC 606.
