Job summary

FullBloom is seeking a Return-to-Work Specialist to own the RTW process across leave types, coordinating with W/C, ADA, FMLA, and a TPA to ensure compliant return-to-work. You will work with the Leave-of-Absence Specialist to align medical restrictions and offers, while safeguarding HIPAA privacy.

The role requires experience with multi-state employers and strong documentation skills; fully remote work with potential travel for training may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HR-related field.
• 3+ years in leave administration, workers' compensation, or accommodations.
• Knowledge of ADA, FMLA, and workers' compensation across leaves.
• Ability to handle confidential medical information per HIPAA.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer return-to-work for all leave types—identifying suitable temporary assignments, developing RTW offers, and tracking restrictions.
• Coordinate ADA interactive process and maintain thorough documentation of interactions.
• Act as primary coordination point between employees, managers, the TPA, and Leave-of-Absence Specialist to align medical restrictions and duty.
• Confirm defenses with the TPA before employment actions tied to workers' comp claims.
• Ensure communications comply with HIPAA and ADA requirements, sharing only necessary information.
• Maintain organized case files, RTW offers, and status notes across all cases.
• Support tracking RTW metrics in partnership with workers' comp reporting.
• Contribute to RTW policy development, templates, and SOPs.
• Provide day-to-day direction to Leave-of-Absence Specialist.
