Job summary

Upbring in Austin, TX, is seeking an Employee Accommodations Specialist to support employees and leaders through accommodations, return-to-work coordination, and wellbeing initiatives.

You will handle ADA and PWFA requests, maintain compliant records, collaborate across HR and safety teams, and help create a compassionate, compliant employee experience while reducing organizational risk.

Qualifications

• Minimum High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years in HR, case management, or leave administration.
• Knowledge of accommodations, workers’ compensation, and compliance.
• Experience handling sensitive, confidential matters.
• Proficiency with HRIS, documentation, and data accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for workplace accommodations and return-to-work inquiries.
• Manage interactive processes for ADA and PWFA requests.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and compliance with laws.
• Guide leaders on accommodation processes and expectations.
• Support workers’ compensation reporting and follow-up.
• Coordinate return-to-work and stay-at-work efforts.
• Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and vendors to ensure consistency.
• Identify process improvements to boost efficiency and safety.
