Job summary

Empower is seeking a Senior Workplace Planning Consultant to deliver retirement and financial wellness guidance to participants in employer-sponsored plans. You will guide clients through managed accounts, educate on distributions, and build trusted relationships through proactive outreach.

The role requires a self-starter with strong organizational skills, a sales mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional work experience
• 2+ years of experience in financial services, retirement planning, or advisory environments
• Demonstrated success in sales
• Good understanding of IRAs, retirement investment products/services and the qualified retirement plan environment
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and ability to handle stressful situations and people on a daily basis
• Good working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Software and Salesforce
• FINRA 7 & 66 registrations required
• FINRA fingerprinting upon hire

Responsibilities

• Cultivate relationships with customers by delivering personalized service and respond to a variety of plan and policy-related questions
• Relay accurate information and provide clear and concise communication of policies and procedures
• Retain assets through education and guidance of available plan specific and general distribution options
• Engage in a dialogue to educate customers in making informed distribution decisions and the advantages of participation in a company sponsored retirement plan or an individual retirement account
• Deliver optimal solutions to customers in every interaction
• Engage with peers to problem solve and deliver results
• Use innovative tools and services to find the best options and strategies for retirement-planning needs
• Meet monthly and annual sales and service goals
