Job summary

ERISA Services in the United States is seeking a Distribution Specialist to help retirement plan participants access benefits accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with IRS and Department of Labor regulations.

You’ll be the primary contact for distributions, loans, RMDs, hardship withdrawals, and force-out requests, partnering with Relationship Managers to deliver outstanding client experiences and to grow technical expertise in retirement plan administration.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of IRS and Department of Labor regulations governing retirement plan distributions, including loans, hardship withdrawals, RMDs, and force-out transactions.
• Two to three years of retirement plan distribution processing experience in a TPA environment required.
• Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills.
• Excellent keyboarding and data entry skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to receive direction, adapt to changing priorities, and work collaboratively.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development through training and continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary contact for plan sponsors and participants regarding retirement plan distributions and loan requests.
• Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries by phone and email.
• Partner with Relationship Managers to provide exceptional client service.
• Communicate clearly and effectively throughout the distribution process.
• Prepare and process a high volume of retirement plan distributions, loans, hardship withdrawals, RMDs, and force-out requests.
• Review plan documents and SPDs to ensure participant eligibility.
• Calculate participant vesting accurately.
• Update participant vesting information.
• Access multiple recordkeeping platforms to obtain required information and documentation.
• Manage each request from initiation through completion while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure all transactions comply with plan provisions and applicable IRS and DOL regulations.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation.
• Meet established processing deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality.
