Job summary

MAP Retirement is seeking a Transaction Coordinator II to manage end-to-end processing of participant transaction requests related to distributions, loans, and required government reporting. The role focuses on accuracy, compliance with ERISA, IRS, and DOL rules, and timely service for clients.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and experience in retirement plan operations.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of retirement plan distributions, withdrawals and loan processes.
• ERISA, IRS, and DOL rules familiarity.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in high-volume environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for internal team members, clients, financial advisors, and recordkeepers regarding participant transaction requests.
• Monitor daily workflow dashboards to manage new and pending transaction requests.
• Process and review participant transactions including distributions, withdrawals, loans, RMDs, 1099s, and related accounts.
• Perform peer reviews for transaction types to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• May serve as back up to team leads during their absence.
• Interpret retirement plan documents to confirm eligibility and compliance.
• Ensure all transaction requests are in good order and processed per internal standards.
• Maintain organized records and documentation per firm practices.
• Collaborate with team members to improve workflows and service delivery.
• Attend internal staff meetings and participate in departmental initiatives.
