Job summary

International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) is seeking a Senior Strategic Account Manager to lead strategic relationships with major retail members and growth opportunities within the U.S. market.

You will develop account plans, drive engagement, and coordinate across IFPA portfolios to maximize value for retailers. You will leverage CRM data, conduct consultative discovery, and manage multi-year opportunities while traveling as required to support member engagement and recruitment

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in membership, strategic account management, customer success, relationship management, sales, business development, or related field.
• Ability to build professional relationships and manage pipelines.
• Strong written, verbal, facilitation, presentation, and analytical communication skills.
• Experience using CRM systems to maintain accurate account, relationship, engagement, and opportunity data.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Knowledge of the fresh produce, floral, agriculture, food, or related industries preferred.
• Ability to operate effectively in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned retail members, prospects, under-engaged retailers, and at-risk accounts.
• Develop account plans identifying key executives and contacts, current value utilization, unmet needs, engagement opportunities, renewal risks, and expansion potential.
• Support qualified prospect conversion, renewal, retention, at-risk recovery, and appropriate multi-year opportunities.
• Identify missing retailers and relevant contacts within existing retail member companies.
• Build relationships beyond produce buyers to executives across sustainability, safety, supply chain, marketing and innovation.
• Coordinate with leaders on multinational retailers and global business-connection opportunities.
• Embed retailers across IFPA portfolios, councils, and initiatives.
• Maintain relationship maps, account plans and member intelligence in CRM.
