Job summary

Allegion Residential Support Representative 1-Remote US is a remote position supporting customers across the United States with warranty, pre-purchase and technical help, while advocating for the customer to improve satisfaction.

You will troubleshoot basic issues, provide clear guidance, and maintain product knowledge across mechanical and electronic Allegion products, with occasional on-site visits and a Monday–Friday 8am–4:30pm EST schedule, including potential weekend or holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of customer service experience preferred.
• HS Diploma or GED required; an associate’s degree is preferred.
• Ability to type 55 wpm.
• 1+ years’ experience handling high-volume inquiries.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of and the ability to perform basic computer skills.
• Familiarity with PC-based software (Microsoft Office) & basic web applications.
• Bilingual in Spanish and/or French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive customer experiences to troubleshoot basic technical problems primarily through verbal communication over the phone, inbound and outbound.
• Assist customers in troubleshooting issues with Schlage products and ensure a resolution or suitable next steps.
• Guide customers through how-to-related inquiries such as installation, app setup, product registration.
• Be the voice of the customer by communicating case drivers and known issues to internal stakeholders, ensuring a swift resolution.
• Build trust through complete follow-through on customer commitments.
• Learn, develop, and maintain product knowledge of mechanical and electronic Allegion consumer products.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Develop a working knowledge of reference materials such as product catalogs, manuals, instruction sheets, and price books.
