Job summary

Smith Hanley Associates partners with a small, established research consultancy doing unique survey research to inform strategy around high-stakes litigation. This role is the first full-time research team member, reporting to the founder, and will own research engagements from intake through final delivery, hands-on across the full process and shaping how work gets done.

Qualifications

• Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience writing and/or programming surveys.
• Comfort analyzing survey data in Excel or Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Own multiple research projects from kickoff through final delivery.
• Manage timelines, deliverables, vendors and all the moving pieces in between.
• Help develop and refine survey questions.
• Program and launch online surveys.
• Review, clean and analyze survey data.
• Identify meaningful findings and help translate them into clear client stories.
• Build polished reports and presentations.
• Participate in client conversations and learn the litigation side of the business.
• Help improve internal processes and bring more research capabilities in-house.
• Explore ways AI and new technology can make the research process smarter and more efficient.
