Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Research Associate I in Patient-Centered Research to contribute to proposal preparation, literature reviews, and data-management tasks from a remote setting in California.

You will assist with site recruitment, IRB submissions, data analysis, and project deliverables while collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance healthcare research and decision-analytic modeling.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a scientific discipline with at least one year of healthcare research experience or a Bachelor's Degree with at least two years of healthcare research experience.
• Coursework in implementation science and/or experience with implementation science studies
• Equivalency may be considered via a combination of education, training and/or directly related experience

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing proposals, protocols, and reports by conducting internet and literature searches.
• Conduct literature reviews by abstracting data from scientific articles.
• Participate in and oversee site recruitment, site contracting and IRB submissions, site management, and site training (including tracking enrollment and scheduling).
• Manage data, including data entry and review; assist with data analysis and preparing qualitative code books, coding, and quantitative data tables; conduct cognitive interviews and focus groups; data extraction and model programming.
• Perform efficient delegation and communication within and outside of the project team.
• Assist with financial management.
• Provide scientific support in the implementation of simulation models and other decision-analytic models to assess cost-effectiveness of healthcare interventions.
• Assist project managers on multiple projects including drafting sections of deliverables and participating in manuscript preparation and proposals.
• Participate in client meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
