Abbott is seeking a Clinical Research Associate I for a remote role in the United States. You will support clinical trial sites from start-up through closeout, ensuring compliance with protocols and regulatory requirements.

Role reports to Clinical Manager and involves cross-functional collaboration in a regulated environment. The position requires at least 1 year of clinical research experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or clinical research or equivalent mix of education and work experience.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical research experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site qualification, initiation, monitoring, and closeout visits.
• Provide training and support to investigators, study coordinators, and site staff.
• Monitor protocol compliance, data quality, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) requirements.
• Review source documents and verify clinical study data for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure only eligible participants are enrolled in studies.
• Manage and maintain study and regulatory documentation.
• Monitor investigational product accountability and inventory.
• Review adverse event reporting for accuracy and compliance.
• Assess site performance, including patient recruitment and retention efforts.
• Prepare monitoring reports and communicate findings, risks, and corrective actions.
