Job summary

NEI Electric Power Engineering in Denver, Colorado, seeks a Senior Renewable Studies Engineer to perform electrical power system modeling and analysis for solar, wind, BESS, and substation projects.

You will lead client engagements, develop study templates, and ensure high-quality deliverables on time and within budget, while mentoring team members and driving continuous improvement in study methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering required; power option preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• FE required; PE preferred.
• Proficiency with power system modeling software (PowerFactory, ETAP).
• Strong written and oral communication; teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical studies for renewables including substation and collection systems.
• Lead client-facing projects and QA/QC reviews.
• Develop study templates and best practices for electrical studies.
• Support team with software troubleshooting and SME for study tools.
• Assist with equipment testing, commissioning, and field work occasionally.
