Job summary

Texas Oncology in Richardson, Texas is seeking a Reimbursement Analyst to join our Revenue Cycle Department. This full-time remote position supports our team from 3001 E President George Bush Highway, Suite 100, Richardson.

The role involves reviewing payer contracts, submitting patient claims, performing payor audits, and analyzing reimbursement trends to help maximize revenue while ensuring compliance with HCFA and applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Finance, Accounting or related business degree.
• Four (4) years of related work experience.
• A minimum of four additional years experience in healthcare reimbursement, managed care or finance; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Prior experience in statistical and financial analysis required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts detailed monthly payor audits to identify trends in reimbursement issues of payors. Conducts ad-hoc analysis in support of managed care activities.
• Prepares and analyzes reports on reimbursement trends Documents and communicates findings to managed care and practice management teams to ensure optimal reimbursement.
• Assists contract managers with renegotiations of fee schedules; provides information to validate proposed fee schedule changes.
• Participates in quarterly provider relations meetings with health plan representatives to discuss reimbursement issues.
• Updates and maintains reimbursement schedule information on the shared server as contracts are renegotiated.
• Performs analysis and reimbursement functions in strict accordance to HCFA regulations and all local, state, and federal laws.
• Maintains strict confidentiality of patient and financial information in assigned area of responsibility.
