Job summary

FedEx Logistics seeks a Manager of Regulatory Compliance to lead a team of regulatory professionals in its customs brokerage operations. The role combines personnel management with deep regulatory expertise, serving as the escalation point for complex matters and guiding resolution strategies.

The position oversees bond obligations, government inquiries, penalty matters, and post-entry actions, ensuring ongoing compliance with CBP and related agencies while maintaining business continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, trade, law, or related field.
• Licensed Customs Broker strongly preferred.
• Minimum 7 years in customs brokerage or trade compliance.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees compliance activities related to customs bond obligations as importer of record, ensuring timely response to inquiries and penalties.
• Oversees billing accuracy and collection for services like bill handling, petitions, and regulatory representation.
• Ensures broker regulatory obligations under 19 CFR Part 111 are met within assigned areas.
• Acts as primary escalation point for complex regulatory matters and regulatory judgments.
• Drafts regulatory work product including penalty petitions, enforcement responses, and compliance guidance.
• Monitors regulatory developments and communicates updates to stakeholders.
• Interprets regulatory requirements and provides guidance to internal partners.
