Job summary

FedEx Logistics seeks a Manager, Regulatory Compliance to lead a team of regulatory professionals focused on brokerage compliance and regulatory guidance across the organization.

The role requires independent judgment on escalation paths, robust regulatory analysis, and close collaboration with CBP, agencies, and internal partners to ensure timely responses and ongoing compliance across all brokerage activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, law, or related field.
• Licensed Customs Broker strongly preferred.
• Minimum 7 years in customs brokerage or trade compliance; 2 years in regulatory compliance or post-entry environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory professionals responsible for brokerage compliance and guidance within FedEx Logistics’ customs brokerage operations.
• Escalate complex regulatory matters and make independent judgments on resolution approaches and escalation decisions.
• Oversee compliance related to customs bond obligations as importer of record and respond to government inquiries and penalties.
• Manage penalty mitigation and billing for government compliance services like petitions and regulatory representation.
• Ensure compliance with 19 CFR Part 111 and maintain good standing with CBP and Partner Government Agencies.
• Draft regulatory work products and perform substantive analysis on penalty petitions and enforcement responses.
• Monitor data trends and regulatory changes; communicate updates to stakeholders; facilitate ongoing dialogue with business partners.
• Provide guidance on regulatory obligations in relation to operations and technology initiatives; interact with customers to resolve notices and payments.
