Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Regional Technical Sales Consultant to bridge the gap between sales teams and customers across the TVA US region. You will travel to customer sites, identify service opportunities, and deliver solutions for power transformers and HV breakers.

You will lead on-site assessments, provide technical support on testing and oil processing, and collaborate with engineering and planning teams to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Candidate must already have work authorization to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required; technical related degree preferred.
• Minimum 10+ years’ experience in transformers and high-voltage breakers; 4+ years as field crew leader or technical degree preferred.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Advanced computer skills; familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
• Strong written and verbal communication with a customer-focused approach.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites (50-60% travel) and operate company vehicle in substation environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site assessments and technical consultations to identify service opportunities and develop tailored solutions for grid assets.
• Provide technical support on electrical testing, controls, and oil processing to support customer decision-making.
• Collaborate with engineering, safety, and planning teams to deliver project execution and customer satisfaction.
• Provide technical support on proposals, scopes, and quotes to address customer needs and drive service sales growth.
• Build and maintain relationships with utilities, EPCs, and industrial stakeholders.
• Generate detailed reports and maintain records in CRM systems.
• Represent Hitachi Energy at industry events and contribute to market presence.
• Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations and guidelines.
