Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA INC is seeking a Technical Sales Consultant to bridge the gap between sales teams and customers across the TVA US region. The role requires traveling to customer sites, identifying service opportunities, and delivering solutions for power transformers and HV breakers.

You will leverage your deep technical knowledge to define project scopes, review specifications, and support seamless grid modernization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years field experience with transformers and HV breakers.
• 4+ years field crew leader or technical degree experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Willingness to travel 50-60% to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site assessments and technical consultations to identify service opportunities.
• Provide technical support on electrical testing, controls, and oil processing.
• Collaborate with engineering, safety, and planning teams to ensure project execution and customer satisfaction.
• Support proposals, scopes, and quotes addressing customer needs and driving service sales growth.
• Build and maintain relationships with utilities, EPCs, and industrial sectors.
• Generate detailed reports and maintain CRM records for field activities.
• Represent Hitachi Energy at industry events and expand market presence.
• Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations and guidelines.
