Job summary

Kollmorgen, a Regal Rexnord brand, is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive growth across the Mid-Atlantic region. This remote-friendly role focuses on developing new business, expanding existing accounts, and managing distributor relationships with OEMs, machine builders, manufacturers, and end users.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of outside sales in industrial automation or related fields, a engineering or business degree, and experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of outside sales experience in industrial automation, motion control, robotics, controls, electromechanical products, or related technologies.
• Experience working with OEMs, machine builders, manufacturers, or industrial distributors.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to communicate complex solutions to both technical and business audiences.
• Proven ability to develop new business and grow a sales territory.
• Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales growth through new business development and expansion of existing accounts.
• Build relationships with OEMs, machine builders, distributors, integrators, and end users.
• Identify and influence new design opportunities for motors, drives, controllers, and automation solutions.
• Partner with distributors and internal engineering teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans.
• Maintain a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, CRM management, forecasting, and opportunity tracking.
• Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding customer applications and recommending value-driven solutions.
• Represent Kollmorgen at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
• Travel up to 50% throughout the territory.
