Job summary

Shirley Parsons is seeking a Regional Safety Consultant for a leading chemical manufacturer to support manufacturing sites across the U.S. The role partners with operations, technical service, and commercial teams to reduce risk, strengthen safety culture, and drive continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will influence without authority, coach teams, and build trust with operations. Remote-based with 50% travel; ideal locations include PA, NC, SC, and Ohio.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of EHS/safety experience in manufacturing, chemical, industrial, or related environments.
• Experience with safety audits, incident investigations, risk assessments, and training.
• Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% and support multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety assessments, audits, observations, and risk evaluations
• Coach employees and leaders on safe work practices and hazard recognition
• Investigate incidents and near misses; lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Analyze safety metrics and identify improvement opportunities
• Deliver safety training and employee engagement initiatives
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
• Serve as a trusted safety resource across multiple locations
