Job summary

Nationwide Financial is seeking a Regional Wholesaler to promote retirement plan investment products through financial intermediaries to sponsors. You will develop relationships with advisors and third party admins to drive growth across a multi-state territory including Minnesota and Iowa.

The role requires extensive travel (3-4 days/wk) with licensure requirements (FINRA) and ongoing education. Strong presentation and relationship-building skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in 401(k)/retirement plan business with advisor-driven market preferred.
• Experience in investment professional, internal or external wholesaler, field servicing or related roles in financial services.
• Retirement plan industry experience preferred.
• Strong math, finance, statistics, economics knowledge and investment management theories.

Responsibilities

• Identify and build relationships with advisors and admins to promote Nationwide products and services.
• Assist IPs at meetings with prospects; prepare proposals and closing paperwork.
• Promote Nationwide products and services and focus on profitable territory growth.
• Coordinate with staff and admins for cross-selling opportunities and referrals.
• Participate in industry conferences and group meetings; contribute to national meetings.
• Prepare activity and expense reports; participate in conference calls and virtual meetings.
