Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking a Regional Medical Scientific Director (MSL) in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Immunology to support strategic priorities. The role requires credentialing (PhD, PharmD, DNP, MD) and engagement with national/regional Scientific Leaders to exchange scientific information.

The MSL will ensure adherence to GMSA SOPs, drive investigations, and support research concepts while acting as a role model for field medical teams. Travel up to 50% within the territory is expected.

Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD required.
• Three years of Immunology (IBD) experience beyond degree program.
• Strong communications and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Develops professional relationships with national and regional SLs to provide approved medical information.
• Conducts peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintains medical contact within the company.
• Directs SL inquiries on issues outside scope to appropriate resources.
• Maintains current knowledge of the therapeutic AOIs and scientific environment.
