Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking a Regional Medical Scientific Director (MSL) in Immunology to drive scientific exchange, lead discussions with SLs, and ensure compliance with GCP and SOPs. The role focuses on inflammatory bowel disease and related immunology areas, bridging science between investigators and Merck scientists.

The position requires a PhD/MD-equivalent, strong communications, and ability to travel up to 50% within a defined region. Location is U.S.

Qualifications

• PhD/PharmD/DNP/DO/MD required; scientific expertise in Immunology or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communications; ability to engage external stakeholders.
• Experience conducting doctoral-level discussions with key stakeholders and navigating regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Engage in Scientific Exchange with national/regional SLs to provide approved medical information.
• Lead peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintain medical contact within the company.
• Address SL inquiries beyond scope and guide to appropriate resources.
• Maintain current knowledge of AOI and therapeutic area.
