Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. seeks a Growth and Improvement minded Regional Medical Scientific Director (MSL) in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Immunology to drive strategic operating priorities and engage with national and regional Scientific Leaders.

The role requires a PhD/PharmD/MD/etc, three years of immunology experience, and strong communication skills. Travel up to 50% across the Southern-Midwest region with remote-friendly arrangements expected.

Qualifications

• PhD/MD/PharmD/DNP/DO required and board-certified or equivalent.
• Three+ years of immunology experience beyond degree program, specifically in IBD.
• Proven communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with FDA, HIPAA, and clinical research guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Engage with national and regional Scientific Leaders to exchange medical information.
• Lead scientific discussions and provide company-approved medical information.
• Support investigator-sponsored research and company-sponsored trials as needed.
• Identify barriers to patient enrollment and contribute to site selection and study concepts.
• Represent the company at scientific congresses and meetings.
