Job summary

Michigan Farm Bureau is seeking a Field Operations Specialist to serve as the program coordinator for Field Operations, lead meetings and events, and support field activities by coordinating meeting planning and office tasks.

You will manage HR requirements for incoming staff, develop SharePoint sites, and oversee onsite annual meeting registration and member communications, with reporting responsibilities to the Field Operations team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in general business or communication or equivalent experience.
• Two years of experience with Microsoft software or other similar word processing software.
• Two years of experience or some formal training with accounting and database management.
• Willingness to pursue computer training and related education development.
• Keyboarding skills of 50 wpm with accuracy.
• Basic computer software proficiency and customer service skills.
• Knowledge and practical use of Microsoft Office Word, Access and PowerPoint and Acrobat.
• Must possess basic accounting skills, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to design brochures, meeting agendas, electronic newsletters and programs.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Meeting planning experience or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as program coordinator for Field Operations and lead coordination meetings and events.
• Provide support to Regional Managers' field activities, including meeting planning and office coordination.
• Coordinate human resource tasks, requirements and paperwork for incoming Field Operations staff.
• Develop and manage Field Operations and Regional Manager SharePoint sites.
• Develop and manage the MFB State Annual Meeting onsite registration and communication with members.
• Provide and coordinate support to the Field Operations Team, including weekly management reports, board reports, regional manager reports, and other needed reports for the Field Operations staff.
• Coordinate yearly program evaluations with the field staff and internal MFB program staff leads.
