Qualifications

• Advanced degree required; Doctoral degree strongly preferred in Pharmacy, Medicine, Biological Sciences, Health Services Research or Public Health.
• 5+ years of Managed care or similar experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Understanding of US healthcare system at regional level.
• Knowledge of clinical and pharmacoeconomic concepts including modeling, real-world evidence, health outcomes and clinical trial designs.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
• Patient-first mindset with ability to identify customer needs and opportunities.
• Strong strategic thinking combining business acumen and clinical expertise.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel (60-80%) in CA, OR, WA and Idaho; must reside in one of these states.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based healthcare economic and clinical information to demonstrate the value of Otsuka’s portfolio to regional payers (Medicaid, insurers, PBMs, IDNs).
• Provide health outcomes data to regional payers and identify partnership opportunities with GVRWE.
• Lead development and execution of medical strategy for regional accounts with RAMs and medical imperatives.
• Collaborate with payer stakeholders to educate and improve patient outcomes using unbranded resources.
• Develop and maintain state profile tools and regional payer landscape knowledge.
• Attend congresses to understand the healthcare landscape and interact with decision makers.
• Gather payer perceptions and insights on formulary decisions and market dynamics.
• Communicate regional developments to leadership and identify opportunities for improvement.
