Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. is seeking a highly experienced regional Medical Affairs professional to deliver health economic and clinical information to payers across the US regional landscape.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required; PharmD/MD/PhD strongly preferred.
• 5+ years in managed care or similar pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Strong understanding of US regional healthcare systems.
• Knowledge of modeling, real-world evidence, health outcomes and trial design.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel 60–80%; must reside in CA, OR, WA or Idaho.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based health economic and clinical information to regional payers across Medicaid, insurers, PBMs and IDNs.
• Provide health outcomes data to regional payers and identify partnership opportunities with GVRWE.
• Lead medical strategy for regional accounts in alignment with RAMs and medical imperatives; develop state profile tools.
• Educate payers using unbranded resources and population health approaches to improve patient outcomes.
• Grow relationships with regional payer decision makers and understand the payer landscape and access challenges.
• Attend congresses to understand the healthcare landscape and network with key decision makers.
• Gather payer perceptions on product value and formulary drivers.
• Communicate regional payer developments to leadership and partners; identify improvement opportunities.
• Serve as regional Medical Affairs expert across therapeutic areas.
• Ensure interactions comply with all Otsuka policies and procedures.
