Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. is seeking a senior Medical Affairs strategist to deliver evidence-based health-economic information for national accounts across the US.

The role leads medical strategy, payer education, and remote engagement initiatives, partnering with Field Medical Affairs and regional teams. You will collaborate with market access, GVRWE and therapeutic leads to align on national strategy.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree strongly preferred in Pharmacy, Medicine, Biological Sciences, Health Services Research or Public Health.
• 7+ years of Managed care or similar experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Understanding US healthcare system at national level including landscape changes, payers, PBMs.
• Knowledge of clinical and pharmacoeconomic concepts including modeling, real-world evidence, health outcomes and trial designs.
• Willingness to travel (60-80%); national and regional coverage across multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based healthcare economic and clinical information to national accounts.
• Lead development and execution of medical strategy for national accounts.
• Communicate national payer coverage changes to Field Medical Affairs and develop strategies with regional partners.
• Collaborate with national payer stakeholders to educate and improve patient outcomes using unbranded resources.
• Lead Remote Customer Engagement projects and payer-aligned sections for remote platforms.
• Cultivate relationships with national healthcare decision makers and communicate market insights to matrix partners.
• Coordinate with Medical Strategy and GVRWE to implement strategy with matrix partners.
