Job summary

Hirenexus is seeking a Regional Controller to oversee accounting and financial reporting for a multi-entity organization. This role leads the monthly close, ensures GAAP compliance, and maintains strong internal controls while partnering with operational and corporate finance leadership.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of driving process improvements and team development to support accurate financial reporting and growth. Remote work with EST alignment is preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with controllership or accounting leadership responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience leading month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Experience overseeing cash accounting, bank reconciliations, and related processes.
• Ability to identify discrepancies, control weaknesses, and implement improvements.
• Experience mentoring accounting professionals and leading teams.
• Strong ERP/financial systems experience; Sage Intacct a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills for large datasets and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close process with timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee general ledger activities, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Ensure U.S. GAAP compliance and internal control requirements.
• Review financial statements and supporting schedules for accuracy.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and reporting issues.
• Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are complete and well-supported.
• Support audit readiness and required documentation.
• Oversee cash accounting and liquidity monitoring.
