Job summary

R1 RCM, Inc. is seeking a Regional Coding Manager to oversee coding operations for hospital clients on a remote basis in the United States.

The role requires a coding certification and healthcare revenue cycle expertise, with leadership responsibilities to guide teams and optimize performance. Responsibilities include monitoring SLAs, conducting KPI reviews, resolving complex coding issues, and collaborating with quality control to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• AHIMA/AAPC coding certification: RHIA, RHIT, CCS or CPC.
• Healthcare revenue cycle coding experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor team performance, productivity, and quality targets, with ongoing coaching and support.
• Conduct daily and weekly coding performance reviews to meet KPIs and report barriers.
• Lead resolution of coding workflow issues and escalate barriers as needed.
• Collaborate with quality review to address coding quality and ensure staff compliance.
