Job summary

Commonwealth of VA Careers is seeking a Regional Recruiter for Maryland to represent the University at regional college fairs and high school events, primarily in Northern Virginia and surrounding states, with remote work. The role includes reviewing freshman applications and participating in campus recruitment activities.

You will develop relationships with high school counselors, coach prospective students and families, train admissions staff, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Communications, English, Business, Counseling, or a related discipline; or a Bachelor’s degree with related experience equivalent to a master’s degree.
• Experience with student financial aid programs or Higher Education processes is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to enter data accurately.
• Strong communication and public speaking skills required.
• Ability to travel regionally and lift up to 50 lbs; willingness to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Represent the University at regional college fairs, high schools, and recruitment events in Northern Virginia and neighboring states.
• Review freshman undergraduate applications for admission as assigned.
• Participate in University-wide on-campus recruitment activities.
