Job summary

Old Dominion University is seeking a Regional Recruiter for Maryland and surrounding areas. You will represent the University at college fairs, review freshman applications, build relationships with high school counselors, and coach prospective students and families.

You will supervise admissions staff, travel extensively, and contribute to outreach in Northern Virginia and neighboring states. A Master’s or Bachelor’s with related experience is required; strong communications and MS Office

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Bachelor's with equivalent experience.
• Must reside in Maryland or surrounding area with a valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.
• Experience in marketing, customer service, higher education, and public speaking is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent the University at college fairs, high schools, and recruitment events in Northern Virginia and neighboring states.
• Review freshman undergraduate applications for admission as assigned.
• Develop relationships with high school counselors within the regional territory.
• Maintain communication with prospective students and families using coaching techniques.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate admissions staff.
