Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Regional Account Manager for the Toxicology sector, servicing government, criminal justice, and treatment markets across the Northwestern & Midwestern US. This remote field-based role requires travel up to 50% and candidates must reside near an airport-accessible metro area.

You will drive new opportunities, build relationships, and coordinate contracts while ensuring customer adoption and growth opportunities within the first year post-implementation.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• 7+ years of related experience or equivalent.
• Hunter mindset with proven sales track record.
• Experience managing and negotiating customer contracts.
• Experience with MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and Salesforce.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication, verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling and lead generation.
• Set up meetings with prospects to present Abbott products and services.
• Perform prospect and customer needs assessments.
• Prepare and send quotes and proposals.
• Coordinate and secure contracts between clients and contracts team.
• Support new account implementation within sales and operations.
• Manage customer relationships and account performance in the first year post-implementation.
• Stay informed on trends and competitors to suggest improvements or new offerings.
• Attend trade shows and in-person customer visits.
