Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a Refrigeration Engineer with ammonia refrigeration and food manufacturing plant experience to lead CAPEX refrigeration projects. This role is remote with travel to plants as required, predominantly in the South and Southeast regions.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical or chemical engineering background, hands-on experience with ammonia systems, and strong project management skills. The position includes relocation assistance and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred.
• Experience in the design and construction of ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Competent with AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of OSHA PSM / RMP, IIAR, ANSI and ASHRAE codes and standards.
• Experience with APSM or similar PSM software preferred.
• Proven project management skills, including budgeting, scope, contractor management and CAPEX close-out.
• Ability to troubleshoot ammonia refrigeration systems and support safe operations.
• Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills.
• English/Spanish bilingual a plus.
• Must be willing to travel.
