Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Refrigeration Engineer / Refrigeration Project Engineer to support ammonia refrigeration systems across its network. You will design, develop, and implement CAPEX projects, coordinate with contractors, and ensure code compliance while promoting safe processes.

You'll perform system calculations, read P&IDs, and work with operations to maintain safety standards; travel to sites is required and relocation may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience in the design and construction of Ammonia Refrigeration systems.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and Block Flow diagrams.
• Competent with AutoCAD for drawings and layouts.
• English/Spanish bi-lingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote Safe Processes, Projects, Products and People through OSHA safe work practices.
• Develop and implement CAPEX Ammonia Refrigeration projects across Pilgrim’s sites, including budgeting, scope, drawings, and contractor management.
• Troubleshoot and optimize ammonia refrigeration systems for safe operation and performance.
• Travel to Pilgrim’s sites as required to ensure proper operation, safety, and compliance.
