Job summary
The Judge Group is seeking a Refrigeration Engineer with ammonia refrigeration and food manufacturing plant experience to lead CAPEX refrigeration projects. This role is remote with travel to plants as required, predominantly in the South and Southeast regions.
Ideal candidates have a mechanical or chemical engineering background, hands-on experience with ammonia systems, and strong project management skills. The position includes relocation assistance and a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred.
- Experience in the design and construction of ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Competent with AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of OSHA PSM / RMP, IIAR, ANSI and ASHRAE codes and standards.
- Experience with APSM or similar PSM software preferred.
- Proven project management skills, including budgeting, scope, contractor management and CAPEX close-out.
- Ability to troubleshoot ammonia refrigeration systems and support safe operations.
- Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills.
- English/Spanish bilingual a plus.
- Must be willing to travel.

Location: GREELEY, CO, USA
Salary: $110,000.00 USD Annually - $140,000.00 USD Annually
Salary range for this position is $110k – $140k plus 25% bonus.
A growing food company is currently searching for a Refrigeration Engineer with ammonia refrigeration and food manufacturing plant experience to lead CAPEX refrigeration projects.
In return, the company offers a good starting salary, excellent benefits and relocation if needed.
Medical, Dental and Vision offered to qualified candidates after 60 days.
This is a REMOTE position with travel to plants as required. Majority of plants will be located in the South/Southeast regions. Preference is to live near a facility, but it is not required.
