Job summary

Grifols is seeking a Refrigeration Consultant for a remote/home based role with nationwide travel (25-35%). You will supervise contractors for freezer installations, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot large-area refrigeration equipment, and diagnose issues in commercial/industrial settings.

EPA certification is preferred and a minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience is required. Responsibilities include overseeing repairs using hand tools, training donor center staff, and creating

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of refrigeration specifically freezers and low/medium temperature HVAC applications.
• Strong trouble shooting abilities to identify and resolve equipment problems.
• Self-starter who can work independently and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, detail oriented, and able to work under pressure.
• Capable of professional communication with all levels of personnel.

Responsibilities

• Select and supervise outside contractors for on-site freezer installations.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of refrigeration equipment across large area.
• Examine machines and equipment to diagnose sources of trouble.
• Oversee repairs or PMs involving hand tools.
• Oversee local contractors to replace broken parts and re-assemble machines.
• Provide advice over the phone and travel for in-person inspections when needed.
• Make independent repair decisions in emergencies; engineers may authorize purchases.
• Create and maintain assessment reports on freezer conditions and plans.
• Train donor center employees to work with freezers including cleaning and de-icing.
