Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Senior Refrigeration Systems Engineer to lead design, optimization, and lifecycle management of critical refrigeration and facility systems. This remote role supports operations across multiple sites and collaborates with Operations, Maintenance, IT, and vendors to drive reliability and efficiency.

The position requires 5+ years in industrial refrigeration, expertise in ammonia and Freon systems, CMMS experience, and the ability to travel extensively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in industrial refrigeration or cold chain.
• Experience with ammonia and Freon systems.
• Ability to travel >40%.
• Experience with CMMS and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, optimization, and lifecycle management of facility and operational systems.
• Provide advanced technical expertise for infrastructure, automation, controls, mechanical, electrical systems.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, IT, EHS and external vendors.
• Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and implement solutions to improve uptime.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Develop engineering standards, procedures, and system specifications.
• Support capital projects from concept through startup.
• Evaluate modernization strategies and emerging technologies.
