Sentara Independence in Virginia Beach is seeking a Referral Specialist for the CAC Department. This is a remote role with the ability to travel on-site for connectivity outages at Sentara Independence or Hampton locations.

You will schedule patients, verify insurance eligibility using real-time tools, and pre-register patients while ensuring data accuracy. Collaboration with providers and departments is essential to meet KPIs and quality metrics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 1 year of customer service experience is required.
• Scheduling and insurance eligibility experience preferred.
• Epic experience and Medical Terminology are preferred.

Responsabilités

• Schedule patients and verify insurance eligibility using the real-time eligibility tool.
• Pre-register patients and ensure data accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers to meet KPIs and leadership expectations.
• Manage orders in assigned work queues.
