Job summary

The Bureau of Human Resources and Administration is seeking a Recruiting Specialist to support talent acquisition efforts. The role focuses on sourcing candidates, outreach, and building pipelines to connect qualified individuals with career opportunities in the Sioux Falls area.

You will develop relationships with colleges, universities, and partners, support recruitment events, and contribute to marketing efforts while handling high-volume recruiting activity.

Qualifications

• General understanding of recruiting, staffing, HR, or talent acquisition processes.
• Familiarity with candidate sourcing, outreach, job postings, and pipeline development.
• Knowledge of professional communication, candidate engagement, and relationship building.
• Familiarity with technology, social media, and online communication platforms.
• Knowledge of ATS/recruiting software, community outreach, job fairs, or basic marketing tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Source candidates and build talent pipelines.
• Post job opportunities and follow up with applicants.
