Job summary

Equip is a fully virtual, evidence-based treatment program for eating disorders. We seek a Recovery Coach to integrate patients into treatment, addressing barriers, personalizing care, and providing tools for lasting recovery.

You will share your recovery experience to empower patients and engage families in the treatment plan, while maintaining documentation and attending trainings. The role requires 33 hours of direct patient care weekly, with two evenings until 8pm, and is fully remote from

Qualifications

• Lived experience with eating disorder recovery and identifying as being in recovery.
• Minimum 2+ years working directly with patients in structured care settings.
• Ability to share personal recovery experience to support others.

Responsibilities

• Provide skills-based individual and group sessions to patients and caregivers.
• Apply motivational strategies to engage care plans and monitor adherence.
• Join multidisciplinary team meetings to support patient progress.
• Listen actively and guide patients to anticipate challenges with coping strategies.
• Maintain an availability calendar for scheduling appointments.
• Proactive outreach to ensure engagement and reminders for care plans.
• Address barriers to treatment with practical problem-solving.
• Personalize care plans and coordinate additional sessions/resources as needed.
• Build trustful relationships with patients and caregivers.
• Document interactions in line with Equip policies and attend trainings.
