Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP is seeking a Junior Real Estate Analyst to perform research and analysis for the Valuation Services Department. The role involves market studies, data collection, and economic trend analysis, with an emphasis on subsidized, tax credit, and market-rate housing.

Responsibilities include interviews with authorities, property managers, and developers, preparing market studies, and assisting in appraisals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area plus 1-2 years of Real Estate research, market analysis, or commercial appraisal experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable with primary and web-based research.

Responsibilities

• Conduct economic and market research regarding market areas via telephone interviews and internet resources.
• Identify subsidized, tax credit and market rate comparables.
• Perform preliminary property screenings, market analysis, and demand analysis.
• Interview local housing authorities, planners, senior centers, and chambers of commerce to understand demand.
• Gather information from property managers of market/LIHTC/subsidized properties for market conditions.
• Analyze demographic information and economic trends affecting affordability.
• Synthesize data and draft market study reports with primary market area and comparables.
• Assist in appraisals of proposed and existing developments.
• Complete Novogradac's Affordable Housing Training within required timeframes.
• Assist with other duties and partner requests.
