Apex Structural Engineering LLC in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Project Engineer II to advance from structural analysis to greater independence. The role supports project executives and managers, handling increasingly complex calculations, design, and documentation.

You will build gravity and lateral models, apply ASCE 7 loads, review results, and contribute to construction documents, with emphasis on collaboration, technical growth, and delivery speed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering from an accredited university.
• Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering is a plus.
• Typically two to four years of relevant structural engineering experience.
• Progress toward PE/SE licensure as applicable.
• Knowledge of structural load paths, ASCE 7 loads, and code provisions.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of increasingly complex components with guidance.
• Develop gravity and lateral building models using designated software.
• Create analysis models including loads per ASCE 7 and project criteria.
• Review results for reasonableness and identify unexpected behavior.
• Prepare clear structural calculations and documentation for review.
• Read and interpret architectural/structural drawings to perform tasks.
