GOAT Logistics is seeking a proven hunter to build a new field sales book in managed transportation. This pure IC role has no warm leads, no pipeline, and rewards a strong performer who can source opportunities and close complex deals with mid‑market manufacturers, distributors, and shippers.

You will travel regularly, conduct in‑person meetings, and own the full sales cycle from discovery to close, with uncapped upside tied to gross margin and a path toward senior leadership as the company

Qualifications

• 4+ years of B2B field sales with a verifiable track record of self-sourced wins.
• Proven success selling complex solutions to Operations leaders, CFOs, and C-suite decision-makers in manufacturing, distribution, or adjacent industries.
• Willingness to travel regularly and do face-to-face selling.
• Strong discovery, listening, and value-based selling skills — you sell outcomes, not rates.
• Hungry, coachable, and wired to compete in lean environments where output directly drives income.
• Freight, LTL/FTL, TMS, or managed transportation experience is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Self-source and build a pipeline of mid-market manufacturers, distributors, and shippers from scratch.
• Run full-cycle field sales: cold outreach, in-person meetings, discovery, proposal, close.
• Maintain rigorous CRM discipline through activity, forecasting, and follow-through with zero exceptions.
• Close new gross margin and expand it through retention and account growth.
• Travel regularly. This role is won face-to-face, not from a desk.
