Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year of medical assistant experience in a clinic/physician’s office with venipuncture ability.
• BLS certification required; valid driver’s license may be required for travel to locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and laboratory blood work with accuracy.
• Assist physicians with medical procedures and specimen handling.
• Conduct quality control procedures before patient testing and document results.
• Prepare slides and coordinate outside labs as needed.
• Document in EMR and maintain logs for QA/QC and equipment records.
• Obtain vital signs and assist with patient assessments as requested.
