Job summary

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• BLS required.
• Valid Driver’s License and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• One-year experience as a medical assistant in clinic or physician’s office with venipuncture ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory blood work with proper quality control before testing.
• Phlebotomy and specimen handling according to procedures.
• Prepare slides and assist with procedures as needed.
• Document results and charges in EMR and maintain logs.
• Coordinate outside testing and referrals when indicated by physicians.
• Maintain inventory and ensure equipment records and checklists are up to date.
